Porcelain Enameled Cloisonné: Plaited Collection
Cloisonne is a time-honored technique of decorating metalwork objects using vitreous enamel, cut gemstones, glass, and other materials. In ancient times, cloisonne decorations were used as clothing embellishments and even weaponry!
The painstaking process to make cloisonne embellishments begins by soldering silver or gold wires or thin metallic strips into small compartments. These compartments are then filled with colorful and decorative enamel or gemstone and glass inlays, which are then fired in a kiln under extreme temperatures.
Plaited collection chooses three 12-16mm twisted cloisonne beads which applied special techniques to the manufacturing combining with colored leather cords to bring an unique look.
